Hope Changes Everything

Alaina and Thomas Story

Thomas and I have been married for three years and have spent the last two trying to expand our family. Last November, my heart was taken with the idea of adoption. I fell in love with how bringing a child into our family so perfectly communicated the power of the Gospel. Understanding that we were once orphaned and lost but were adopted into a family that we will forever be apart of because of the love our Father had for us struck us at our core. We believe that expanding our family through adoption is God's plan for our family and we are excited about serving Him in this capacity. We are excited about teaching our children about God and positioning them to be bold and courageous for our Lord. We hope that you will join us in our efforts to do what God has called us to do. We know that all people are called to do different works for God at different times in their lives. We are praying that if you are led to support our work for Christ, that you will do so by purchasing shirts to help us fund the adoption of our first little one. If you would like to know more about us and our story, please visit our blog - http://unashamedgrowth.com/. You are also more than welcome to see who we are in our day to day by visiting my Instagram! You can find me by searching "amayes"!! Thank you so much for partnering with us!

Help them with adoption fee's by visiting Chrome Buffalo's website and buying a "Hope Changes Everything" t-shirt: http://chromebuffalo.com/a/cb?drive=256

Continuing Our Story

Whenever you think your story is about to end, another chapter presents itself.  Our story continues as we have been given the green light to "make way for baby"-LOVE my doctors enthusiasm for us!  I have received a clear bill of health in the baby making department and was told to "actively try and have fun" as much as possible-LOVE my doctors humor about the situation!  We now are faced with my husbands "issue" (read his story here: http://waitingforbabystoriesblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/waiting-for-babynicks-storypart-1.html
and how we should proceed.  It has been said that Invitro is the only way to go.  The procedure seems so cold and detached and SUPER expensive-a little too expensive for a teacher and a electrician.  Yet, we are hopeful that the doctors will give us wisdom in this area as to who to see and work with, and that God would give us a clear and peaceful decision.

How's your story coming along?  I would love to know we're not alone in this battle for baby.  Would you think about sharing your story on our blog?  It would mean the world to us and those reading it who might be in the same situation your are and just need a little encouragement.  Think about it and email us at:  waitingforbabystories@gmail.com
